However, I must say that it is remarkable that I always feel sexier laying down. If this lady was in Japan she would be defamed as “clinically obese” when she was standing. However, all women become beautiful when they are horizontal, don’t they?
*Actually, there is no such thing as “traditional” nyotaimori –naked sushi in Japan. It’s just an odd twist that was started some time after World War II in Tokyo and was aggressively adapted in the West. Today it is much, much easier to find venues with naked sushi in New York or LA than in Tokyo.
